The Arts Council is an energetic group of people, with events
organized throughout the year, including the North Platte
Literary Festival, the Autumn Arts Festival, the Children's Summer
Art Festival, the Spring Herb Market, the reception for the
NEBRASKALand Days Competitive Art Show and the Christmas Boutique.
Our purpose:
To provide opportunities in the form of
classes, workshops, exhibitions, performances, and events in the arts and
humanities to people of all ages in North Platte, Nebraska and the surrounding
area.
Funding is obtained through grants, donations,,
endowments, special events and fundraisers.
The Funding Board, along with volunteers, are committed to
offer their time and talents so others can enjoy the arts
and humanities. |
In addition to its goals of being a catalyst for collaboration
among local art organizations, it is the dream of the members of
the Creativity Unlimited Arts Council to one day bring a
comprehensive Art Center to North Platte, NE. To that end, the
Board of Directors is in the process of setting up a fund through
Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation. Through the hard work of the
member and the generosity of donors, more than $10,000 has already
been raised toward their goal.
The CUAC is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation.
Board Members include: Hather Weigel, Betty Sones,
Mureil Clark, Wava Best, Ruth Carson, Cheri Erickson, Angela King,
Sharon Skinner, Patsy Smith, Jim Whitaker
